Despite the name, green iguanas can be shades of red, blue, brown, and green.

While important to their native habitats, green iguanas can be harmful when introduced to new places. With no competition or natural predators, their numbers have rapidly grown since being introduced in Florida. Thanks to their large appetite, they destroy the local plants and the animals that rely on the plants.
