New Roof for the Rainforest

(6/18/20)

The Tulsa Zoo is providing a new canopy for our Rainforest. The storm damaged roof will be replaced this summer, which means the exhibit and outdoor jaguar viewing will temporarily close to the public beginning Monday, June 22. Our animal care team will relocate Rainforest animals to temporary behind-the-scenes homes to focus on care throughout the project. The Rainforest should be ready to welcome guests this fall. Watch for updates once construction is underway.

The 14,000-square-foot exhibit opened in 1997 as an immersive experience for guests to enjoy free-roaming species native to tropical rainforests of Central and South America.
