Chinese Crocodile Lizard

Shinisaurus crocodilurus

These semi-aquatic lizards get their name due to the two ridges down the length of their tail, just like a crocodile. Able to remain motionless for hours, they can reduce their respiratory rate to allow them to submerge underwater for long periods of time.
