Named for its jumping ability, this antelope can also reach speeds of 62 mph with a nimble turning radius.

It can leap up to 13 ft. in the air displaying a white flap of skin on its back, a behavior called pronking in Afrikaans meaning “to show off”. Springbok travel in herds and can reproduce at any time of year. This species can coexist comfortably with other herbivores.
