Zebra Moray

Gymnomuraena zebra

Often seen with their heads sticking out of a hole, moray eels can look scary as they constantly open and close their mouths, but that’s just how they breathe. These nocturnal eels come out at night to hunt for crabs, clams and other shelled prey. Unlike some moray eels with sharp, pointed teeth, this species has flat teeth, which are great for crunching hard shells.
