Australian Bushfire Emergency Wildlife Fund Support

TULSA, Okla. (Jan. 13, 2020) – Tragic fires rage in Australia, devastating the wildlife. And Tulsa Zoo supporters have asked how to help.

Our animal health care staff have stepped up to help. The Association of Zoo Veterinary Technicians — a 501(c)3 with the mission to share ideas, improve techniques and contribute to conservation — have pledged to match all donations (up to $5,000) to the Zoos Victoria Bushfire Emergency Wildlife Fund. This fund provides critical care and long-term recovery for Australian wildlife.

Not only will your contribution be matched dollar-for-dollar, but we might be able to triple the impact. If AZVT reaches their goal of $5,000 by Jan. 22 an anonymous donor has agreed to contribute an additional $5,000.

The Tulsa Zoo has committed funds to support this lifesaving work and recommends it as one of the best ways you can help. Increase your impact by donating through AZVT here. Help us — including both of Tulsa Zoo’s vet techs (members of AZVT) — raise money for Australian wildlife.
