(Oct. 24, 2019)
It’s an exciting time for your zoo as we start Phase 2 of Building Beyond to create the world-class zoo our community and animals deserve.
As part of our progress we have some exciting news to share – Cox Communications Nature Exchange will be moving to Life in the Cold inside Robert J. LaFortune WildLIFE Trek. This larger space will accommodate the growing trader population and our growing natural collection.
Cox Communications Nature Exchange will be temporarily closing its doors on Nov. 3, 2019, as we work to prepare for the move and transform the space currently showcasing Washed Ashore: Art to Save the Sea. When Washed Ashore closes on Jan. 5, 2020, construction will begin on a bigger, better Cox Communications Nature Exchange.
Thank you for your patience as we start the process of moving. If you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected].
If you would like to trade before the holidays, now is the time. Cox Communications Nature Exchange will maintain normal operating hours of 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 1-4 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday until Nov. 3, 2019.
First-timers and experienced traders alike are encouraged to come in before Nov. 3 for discounted natural treasures. Nothing to trade? No problem, just complete a scavenger hunt for knowledge points and leave with a natural souvenir.
What is Nature Exchange?
The Cox Communications Nature Exchange is a trading center where guests exchange natural items found outdoors for one of the thousands of interesting items in our collection.
It’s easy to participate. Traders are awarded points, not only for items brought in but also for knowledge about the items. The points are then used to trade for a new treasure from Cox Communications Nature Exchange.
