Celebrate Visit the Zoo Day With Dollar Admission; Benefits Emergency Infant Services

TULSA, Okla. (Dec. 23, 2019) – Swing into the Tulsa Zoo with your friends and family for only $1 on Friday, Dec. 27, on Visit the Zoo Day. While visiting, celebrate the season of giving by donating to Emergency Infant Services.

All donated items will go to Emergency Infant Services, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity with the mission of meeting the basic needs of infants and children 5 years old and under. Donated items will be provided to Tulsa-area families who are in financial crisis at absolutely no cost to them.
Any new or gently used warm clothing for newborns to 5-year-olds will be accepted. Emergency Infant Services is specifically looking for the following:

  • Infants to children’s size 8 winter coats
  • Diapers of all sizes
  • Infant formula
  • Pacifiers
  • Blankets

“The Tulsa Zoo community, including zoo members and daily guests, have responded with overwhelming support during previous dollar day donation drives,” said Patrick Weisz, director of guest services at the Tulsa Zoo. “We know a cold or hungry child cannot wait and we want to support Emergency Infant Services in the important work they do.”

About the Tulsa Zoo Dollar Day: Donations are not required for the dollar admission special. The discount is not available with any other offers.
