Citizen Science Opportunity

It is time again for the annual Mohawk Park North American Butterfly Association spring butterfly count. This year’s count ¬†will be conducted Saturday April 15th ¬†

You are welcome to join the team of experts who will be conducting the 2017 spring butterfly count. The data collected is uploaded to the North American Butterfly Association and is utilized by conservationist and entomologist to assist in conservation efforts and public awareness.

Where: The group will be meeting in the Oxley Nature Center parking lot

When: Starting at 8:30 AM

Note: Please be sure to dress accordingly, bring a sack lunch, binoculars and expect to be in the field no less than 3 hours.
