Camps allow your little ones to learn in a fun, interactive environment. Camps include zoo hikes, games, crafts and other zoopendous activities. Summer Camp takes place June through August. Learn more!
Cox Nature Exchange allows guests to bring in a natural object of interest, learn more about its place in the natural world and select something else to continue the journey toward understanding and respect for all things found in the world around us. Nature’s Classes are hands-on, zoo-guided adventures exploring the wonders of nature. Each three part series has a unique theme to awaken curiosity about the world and facilitate nature play.
Outreach programs are formal zoo education offerings for school-age children and teens, created and presented by trained zoo professions. Each blends environmental education with science, math, language arts, reading, fine arts and even history to provide teachers with resources and information that are both educational and fun. Overnights offer an after-hours exploration of the zoo, complete with a night hike and animal presentations.
