2018 Summer Camps

Experience the WILDEST camps in town! With binoculars ready, nets in-hand, and zoo exploration ahead, join us at the award-winning Tulsa Zoo camps. Every day, your child will participate in live animal encounters, hands-on activities and games, zoo hikes, and more!

Summer Zoo Camp
Let your child’s imagination run wild this summer with our annual week-long summer camps!

Children ages 3-12 will learn about the zoo’s animals and even meet some of them during up-close encounters.

All camp themes include zoo hikes, games, crafts, animal encounters and other zoopendous activities. Half-day and full-day camps are available, depending on your child’s age. Plus, you won’t want to miss our popular special sessions, which include classes for siblings and parents with toddlers.

 

Cost per Week

Full day camp  ( 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.) is $205
Half day camp (9 a.m. to noon or 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.) is $130
Sibling camp is $185
3-4 year-old camp + attending adult is $65
Zoo Insider Workshop is $175
Optional after care for full day camp (2 p.m. to 4 p.m.) is $50

    Animals come in all sorts of shapes, sizes and colors. In this camp, you will be inspired by our zoo animals to create master works of art. Whether you are the next Picasso or if you simply enjoy art, this camp will unleash your creative spirit.

    Come learn all about animal adaptations by mimicking them yourself, just like the Kratt Brothers. We’ll earn a new Creature Power every day while learning how to help animals in the wild. To the creature rescue!

    Icky, Sticky & Gross
    Slime, vomit, and poop- oh my! The things that gross us out are important to animals and their survival. Put your safety goggles on as we explore the science and reason behind nature’s not-so-proper side.

    Jungle Jam
    Of course, you can find a lot of RAIN in the rainforest, but what else makes these soggy habitats so unique? This week we will explore the sights, sounds and smells of this damp environment and discover the many creatures that call the jungle home.

    Knights of the Animal Kingdom
    Hear ye, hear ye, calling all Knights of the Animal Kingdom! This week, we will don our animal armor and learn all about classes of animals such as mammals, reptiles and birds. Training will conclude with a grand tourney and champions will be dubbed Protectors of the Animal Realm.

    Experience life in the field as a wildlife biologist! Aspiring scientists will get down and dirty conducting research on land, air and water! Our field team will spend each day studying plants and animals and learning tricks of the trade from our zoo researchers. Activities will include collecting plant specimens, tracking the movements of animals, and observing animal behavior.
