TULSA, Okla., April 30, 2012 – Tulsa Zoo will transform May 5 with a Cinco de Rhino celebration! The rhino exhibit’s main perimeter will be open so guests can get up-close to Tulsa Zoo’s 4,000lb resident White rhinos, Jeannie and Buzbie, this Saturday, May 5 from 10:30am to 1:30pm. These mammoth mammals will receive special Mexican-themed Enrichment to not only ring in Rhino Awareness Day, but also Cinco de Mayo!
The Tulsa Zoo invites the public to not only get up-close and personal with the zoo’s White rhinos, but also to learn more about these fascinating creatures and what we can do to change their uncertain future in the wild. It’s an experience like no other and only during Cinco de Rhino, MAY 5, 2012 from 10:30am to 1:30pm. Guests will learn why all five species of rhinos, despite their docile nature, face a grim reality around the world.
