Make plans to visit the Tulsa Zoo this winter!
The Tulsa Zoo will follow its winter schedule through the end of February. The zoo will be open from 9 a.m. through 5 p.m., and guests can enter the zoo until 4:30 p.m. The gates will close at 5 p.m., and all guests must leave the zoo at this time.
The Tulsa Zoo is scheduled to be open every day this winter except Christmas Day, Dec. 25. In the case of inclement weather, we may choose to adjust our hours, or close for the day, if appropriate. All schedule changes will be posted on our homepage and Facebook page.
Train and carousel hours may vary during winter months, so please call ahead (918.669.6601) to confirm the day’s attraction schedule.
Visit the Zoo and Stay Indoors
Don’t feel like being outside, yet you still want to visit the zoo? No problem! You can spend your visit in one of our many indoor complexes, including the Rainforest. This complex remains 78 degrees every day of the year, so it’s the perfect destination during winter months.
Animal Visibility During Winter Months
As a reminder, some animals may not be visible during your visit to the zoo this winter. We have weather guidelines for each animal, so we always know when animals need to stay inside. Even if the weather permits animals to be outside, they will still have access to their indoor habitat. This allows our animals to choose where they would like to spend their time.
As we continue to build new habitats, we are placing a larger focus on year-round viewing opportunities. Newer habitats, including Lost Kingdom, Mary K. Chapman Rhino Reserve and Osage Casino & Hotel Giraffe Barn, include large viewing windows so you can see your favorite animals even if it’s too cold for them to go outside.
We hope to see you at the zoo this winter!
