Warthog

Phacochoerus africanus

While warthogs are a member of the swine family, they are not covered in warts. The “wart” bumps on their face are thick patches of skin that serve as padded protection during fights. They also have padded protection on their knees when they kneel to eat bugs and grasses. These powerful diggers use their snout, feet, and tusks to dig up food.
