Coahuila Box Turtle

Terrapene coahuila

Living only in an area known as the Cuatro Cienegas basin in Mexico, this species suffers from its limited range of only 500 square miles. Living in the water, their main diet includes insects and plants. They are the only remaining species of aquatic box turtle alive today.
