Giant Day Gecko

Phelsuma grandis

Like most geckos, they do not have eyelids and instead have a clear covering over their eyes which they occasionally clean with their tongues. Geckos are the only type of lizard to use various vocal calls for communication. They can make multiple different sounds including clicks, hisses, squeaks, barks and croaks.
