Tulsa Zoo hosts a variety of educational camps throughout the year including Spring Break Camp, Summer Camp, Fall Break Camp and Winter Camp.
Join us on wildlife adventures while we explore the world around us, make new friends, and celebrate nature! All camps feature age-appropriate programs, tours, games, creative projects, up-close animal encounters and so much more!

SAFE: Saving Animals from Extinction
Some animals are facing extinction and need our help! “Kid power” is an amazing force that can be put into action for the animals. SAFE stands for “saving animals from extinction” and is an international conservation initiative created by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Campers will learn what is being done to keep their favorite endangered species at the Tulsa Zoo SAFE, and what they can do at home to make an impact across the globe. Each camp day highlights a different threatened or endangered animal that lives at the Tulsa Zoo.
When you enroll, you can you can choose as many or as few days as you like!
When selecting a camp for your child, please choose the grade that coincides with the grade they are entering in the 2024-2025 school year.
SAFE: Giraffe – October 14: SOLD OUT
You might think its a “tall order” to save a critically endangered giraffe, but lets strech our necks out to figure out what we can do to help.
SAFE: Jaguar – October 15: SOLD OUT
These majestic cats are endangered in the United States. Learn about these “purrr-fect” predators and efforts to help save them from extinction.
SAFE: Flamingo – October 16: SOLD OUT
Many flamingo species are threatened or endangered. Our zoo’s American Flamingos are “pretty in pink” so lets learn how we can protect flamingos worldwide!
SAFE: Elephants – October 17: SOLD OUT
Our Asian Elephant friends are endangered and need our help. Pack your “trunk” and come along with us to help save them!
SAFE: Chimps – October 18: SOLD OUT
“Swing” on over to learn more about efforts to save endangered chimpanzees. Tulsa Zoo’s troop of six chimps are proof that our hard work is helping!
