Mount Apo Lorikeet

Trichoglossus johnstoniae

Lorikeets feed on nectar and pollen in the wild. A special brush-tipped tongue allows lorikeets to easily gather food from a variety of plants. Because they are endemic to a small area they are greatly affected by habitat loss.
