Art at the Zoo

Help us support “The BIG Show” at Philbrook Museum of Art! All Oklahoma young artists ages 4-18 are eligible to participate by creating art at the zoo on Sunday, October 3.

In Remembrance of Oscar

Unfortunately, the zoo has sad news to report out of the Education Department. Oscar, the Blue and Yellow Macaw, passed away in late August. Oscar came to the zoo nearly 50 years ago in 1976. 

Celebrating 30 Years of WALTZ

In celebration of the 30th annual WALTZ On The Wild Side, we are taking a look back at 30 years of building a bigger, better Tulsa Zoo. See the amazing exhibits that have been funded through WALTZ on a self-guided 30-year tribute tour with special on-site signage for former WALTZ on the Wild Side projects.

White Rhino Pregnancy

Tulsa Zoo has an exciting announcement – female White Rhino, Sally, is pregnant. It is estimated Sally is due in the fall of 2021. This will be the first rhino born at Tulsa Zoo.

Malayan Tiger Cub Name Announced

The Tulsa Zoo announced Dara as the name of the newly born female Malayan tiger cub. The cub’s name was selected by The Helmerich Trust whose donation made the tiger exhibit in the Lost Kingdom exhibit complex possible.

Malayan Tiger Cub Born

A female Malayan tiger cub is doing well after being born at the Tulsa Zoo earlier this month. The announcement comes on International Tiger Day.
