Spotted Scat

Scatophagus argus

Spotted scat have venomous dorsal spines along the front of their backs, which help deter predators. These adaptable fish can thrive in freshwater, brackish water, and saltwater. Often living in schools, these fish sometimes form massive, synchronized shoals near mangrove roots.
