Conservation On Tap May 16 to Benefit Asian Songbirds

The Tulsa Zoo will host the seventh annual Conservation on Tap from 6:30-9 p.m. on Friday, May 16. The event will feature 29 breweries, distributors and home brewers with proceeds benefitting critically endangered Asian songbirds at the Cikananga Conservation Breeding Centre.

“Tulsa Zoo is proud to support an organization that is bringing multiple species of Asian songbirds back from the brink of extinction,” said Richard Kotarsky, curator of wildlife conservation and scientific advancement for the zoo. “We have been committed to supporting these critically endangered species since 2018 and look forward to continuing our support in the future.”

To date, the zoo has donated more than $847,000 to conservation efforts around the world.

Gluten free beer samples will be available at select breweries.

In addition to the beer selection, Conservation on Tap will feature live music, yard games and animal encounters. Tickets are $50 for general admission, $70 for VIP and $20 for designated drivers. The event will take place throughout Lost Kingdom in Tulsa Zoo. Guests will also have special access to Zoorassic World: Frozen in Time included with their ticket purchase. All guests must be 21-and-older to attend. IDs will be checked at the main gate.

Tickets for Conservation on Tap will be available until they are sold out or through 5 p.m. on Friday, May 16.
