At the conclusion of the races, you and your family are invited to enjoy the zoo for the rest of the day! (Must be on zoo grounds before 10 a.m. No re-entry.)
You MUST be inside the Mohawk Park gates and parked by 8:20 a.m. The gates close at this time for the safety of the runners. No exceptions and no refunds will be given due to late arrival. Gates will re-open at 10 a.m.
To avoid race day congestion, you can access the main zoo parking lot by using the alternate zoo entrance. Turn on North Winston Avenue, which is just west of Yale Avenue, off of East 36th Street North. Winston Avenue merges with Mohawk Boulevard. Follow Mohawk Boulevard around the golf course directly into the zoo parking lot. Sheridan experiences the most traffic; East 36th Street North also can be accessed via Harvard and Yale avenues.
If you need to leave the parking lot before the main gates to Mohawk Park re-open, please utilize the alternate entrance route and park at the west end of the main zoo parking lot. Once the races have started, you will be able to exit this way.
